Why only private? We are not allowed to bill the public health insurance companies.

Why only private?

We are not allowed to bill the statutory health insurance companies.

We would like to, but we are not allowed to.

Tiamana is currently only allowed to examine private patients and self-pay patients. An application has been made for authorisation to examine BG patients (occupational accidents).

Dr. med. Milen Golchev does not have a so-called KV seat - this enables billing with the statutory health insurance funds.

This limitation is politically or professionally intended and applies to all radiologists in Germany.

There are a certain number of KV seats in Germany that are owned by radiology practices that have been active for decades. Increasingly, these practices are being bought up by non-medical investors when the practice owners reach retirement age. With the help of loopholes created by politicians, these KV seats are becoming the property of the companies, making it impossible for young radiologists to practise their free profession as independent doctors.

The only solution at this point is to set up private practice - Tiamana also operates under this form.

Tiamana could examine patients with statutory health insurance, but they must be listed as self-payers and pay for the costs of the examination. Alternatively, they could make an enquiry with their own health insurance company before the planned examination to check and apply for possible reimbursement.

If you have any further questions, you can contact Dr. Milen Golchev directly at turn.
